“If you do partnerships in this space, if you work with communities, you have to do the groundwork, you have to be down, you have to join and show that you care, and we do care, and the rest will come.”

First Crypto Experience
Was working part-time as a consultant
Had a client who was stressed out about the crypto markets
He started consuming content from Coin Bureau
Started trading on Binance
Took a few months for him to settle into the crypto space
Bankless DAO
Joined a couple of DAOs at the beginning
The first DAO he started contributing to was Bankless DAO
Interested In Socio-economic And Governmental Activities
Has a deep desire to understand how things work and solve them
Web3 is a microcosm of the real world
The Idea Of Real Equity
A term that the ThriveCoin team uses often
People should be rewarded proportionately to the value they create for their community, regardless of their background
Real-world ownership could be granted to community members who devote their lives to a cause/community
Trying to create an environment within DAOs that reflect the contributions that are being made by individuals and community members as a whole
The current DAO landscape is fairly centralized
The Human Need To Abdicate Responsibility
In DAOs, there is a sort of trust in the early members to do things right
This puts a lot of pressure and responsibility on a small percentage of people
The larger problem is recognizing and rewarding the decentralized, distributed, and largely anonymous group of people within the community
Any Non-Digital Examples Of Something Like ThriveCoin?
Daniel, the CEO of ThriveCoin, has tried to accomplish what they are doing in the real world
Has been volunteering and working with communities in South America
Has built businesses in the philanthropic world and cultural enterprise space
After learning about blockchain, he took his whole leadership team from his last company to ThriveCoin
ThriveCoin And The Aavegotchi Community
The ThriveCoin team has been patiently listening to the DAO’s concerns and has tailored their Sig Proposal to their concerns
The overall sentiment for ThriveCoin is pretty good
The Future Of Work
The future of work will be very community-centric
To empower communities, it needs new technologies like Thrive Protocol
Thrive Protocol will be open source and available for everyone to build on top of it
Have built a blockchain explorer on top of it to recognize contributions on-chain
“We like to call it thanking because we want to thank those people for the contributions they make.”
