Infinity Skies Banknote Giveaway
Infinity Skies is a blockchain game that has 4 aspects of gameplay that is guaranteed to attract the different kinds of players out there. The 4 aspects are socializing, trading, adventuring and building. It happens that at the beginning of every month before the game is launched (the game demo for building castles is up though), there’ll be a Banknote Giveaway. In fact, there’ll be one this coming Monday, March 14th at 1400 UTC.
Banknotes
Anyone can take part in it. Well, as long as you’re fast enough. This is a 2-step process:
Get into a whitelist first. This involves keying your name, wallet address and email address into a Google document.
Once you are whitelisted, you can claim the Banknote anytime you want
Getting into the whitelist
This is time-sensitive because there are only 1000 Banknotes to give away. This involves staying close to the announcement channels on Discord, their official Twitter or on the official Telegram. Once the time for the giveaway is up, the announcements will be released on all three channels simultaneously. It looks something like this:
Clicking on the link brings you to the Google form. Once the 1000 names are filled, the Google document will be closed. Based on experience, the time taken to fill up the 1000 names is getting shorter and shorter. The last one in February took 8 minutes to fill up. A safe timing will be to finish filling the form within 1 minute.
So… you just need to prepare the following:
Name
Email
Wallet address
When it’s time, just cut and paste it to the Google form to save yourself some time. It can easily be done within 1 minute.
Claiming the Banknote
After making sure you are the first 1000 people to fill the form, all you have to do is to wait for the announcement (again, in the 3 channels listed above) that you can claim the Banknote. It looks something like this:
Clicking on the link will bring you to this screen:
Note that getting into the whitelist is time-sensitive, but claiming the Banknote is not. You can claim it anytime even though you might not want to do that. We'll talk about it later.
Here are the steps you need to do to claim the Banknotes:
Enter the site
Make sure the network in Metamask is switched to Polygon/Matic
You can check if you are eligible to claim by looking at the first circle “Whitelisted”. It should be filled up like the picture above. Not like the picture below:
Follow the instructions to mint the Banknote. You need to pay for some gas (in MATIC) to mint it
Once done, you will get an announcement telling you which of the 3 types of Banknotes you’ll receive. It’s either Gold, Silver or Bronze. You can go to OpenSea to view the NFT.
Troubleshooting Guide:
If you can’t connect to the protocol, most likely you didn’t switch your Metamask network to Polygon/Matic. Switch it, refresh the tab and connect again
If your transaction is still pending after a long while, most likely you didn’t pay enough gas. Top up the gas fees between 50 to 100 should do the trick
If after topping up the gas fees, the transaction is still stuck, most likely the network is congested. Just go do other things and come back to check on it again at another time. There’s no hurry to claim the Banknotes once you’re whitelisted because this is not time-sensitive.
Okay...I got a Banknote, but what is it?
A Banknote allows you to exchange for a summoning crystal of the same rarity as the Banknote. For example, if you get a Gold Banknote, you can exchange it for a Gold summoning crystal.
The chances of getting the different Banknotes are as follows:
Gold: 1% (10 in total)
Silver: 10% (100 in total)
Bronze: 89% (890 in total)
So, Banknotes can be exchanged for summoning crystals of the same rarity. What’s a summoning crystal for?
These crystals are ERC-1155 tokens that can be used to exchange for in-game NFT of every type, category or subcategory of the following rarities according to different drop chances listed in the table below:
It’s important to note that while getting Gold summoning crystal is the only way to get Divine rarity NFT, it’s by no chance guaranteed. It’s all a matter of luck. You will most likely get a Common NFT even if you used a Gold summoning crystal, but at least there’s a non-zero chance of getting a Gold rarity NFT. There’s absolutely no way to get even a Legendary rarity NFT using a Bronze summoning crystal.
Since the game is not launched yet, we can’t use the summoning crystals to mint the NFT to be used in-game. However, there is a market for Banknotes since it’s listed in OpenSea. The current price at the time of writing is:
Bronze: 0.0019 ($5 USD)
Silver: 0.006 ETH ($16 USD)
Gold: 0.1 ETH ($260 USD)
To get the best chance of having Gold Banknotes, don’t wait. Immediately claim from the website once you’re able to do so. Since there are only 10 Gold ones and 100 Silver Banknotes, once others have claimed it, there’ll be lesser from the available pool for you to claim. So, while there’s no time limit to claim your Banknotes, I’ll do it as soon as possible to get your chances of getting Gold to be as high as the stated probability of 10%. The longer you wait, the lower the chances.
That’s it from us. Remember the next Banknotes giveaway is on March 14th at 1400 UTC. It’s a low hanging fruit, so just go and grab it!
