NFT Innovation Digest
Primer: NFT Innovation Digest is a newsletter that curates NFT news and updates. If you find that the space is moving too fast and you only have 24 hours each day, do subscribe to it to get the most updated news about NFT. This is an introduction to their free service (for now).
Introduction
Anyone who is on Twitter long enough will realise that one can never really have enough time to catch up to the latest news on NFTs. There’s always this constant pressure to keep yourself updated in case you miss out on some important news or alpha. Do you wish for a service that summarises all the important events of the week about NFTs and is sent right to your email so that you can stay updated?
NFT Innovation Digest Newsletter
NFT Innovation Digest is one such free service that you can subscribe to. They write 2 articles per week every Monday and Thursday to help subscribers stay afloat and not drown in a sea of noise.
NFT Top Tweets
Monday is reserved for their column “NFT Top Tweets”, where they will curate a selection of trending NFT discussions on Twitter for readers to peruse. There are links that you can click to take you directly to the Twitter post if the headlines interest you, so everything is very nice and neat.
A screenshot of this column is shown below:
But are the links useful?
Even though we’re in Twitter space 24/7, there are definitely some links that we miss out on. If you follow over 100 accounts on Twitter and each account posts 3 tweets, that’s already 300 tweets to catch up. It’s an impossible game. We’ll say that this is a great service for the general consumption of NFT related updates. However, the site does not take into account the specific niche areas within the NFT space that are of interest to you.
NFT Innovation Digest
The second publication of each week is on Thursday, where they will post a curated digest of the most innovative and relevant topics in the NFT space. This column is titled “NFT Innovation Digest”. From the name, it seems that this is the main ‘meat’ of the newsletter - the main show.
There are different subheadings in this column. Let’s list some of them down:
Most Innovative (author’s pick)
Most Discussed
Mainstream Adoption
New products and ideas
Recommended Readings
New Podcasts and Shows
NFT space in numbers
Save the Date
From the headings, you can see that this column is the main focus of their newsletter because there’s a lot more curation with different areas of interest. For example, we will be immensely interested in the ‘New podcasts and shows’ subheader to see which interesting podcasts we can ape into.
Another interesting thing about this column is the subheader “Mainstream Adoption”. This one seems to be about how the ‘normies’ in real life are adopting crypto/NFT stuff. Fascinating read to remind yourself that you are still early.
There are also a section for people who like to see NFT related statistics. It’s under “NFT space in numbers” and the source of this data comes from DappRadar. This subheader shows you the weekly data for the top marketplace, top sales (of NFTs) and top collections. Useful if you’re tracking to see what’s the most trendy and hotly traded NFTs collections on a weekly basis.
Conclusion
We think this is a useful service that can help you curate information about the NFT space. It wouldn’t feel very overwhelming since the publications will direct this to your email twice per week (unlike us, which is like every single day of the week, muahaha!). Best of all, it’s free (for now) so there’s really no harm in subscribing to see how it goes. But don’t expect to see a highly filtered list based on your niche interest in the NFT space. So if you’re only looking at say GameFi and totally not interested in everything else in the NFT world, then this is probably not for you.
