The Clique Podcast Ep. 11 - A Role Model for Community Guilds looking to foster ecosystem cultures
Primer: Gotchiverse Media International (GMI) is an Aavegotchi guild specializing in media and content creation. In this episode of the Clique Podcast, Anthony Shepherd, Cale Moody, and NoFuturistic share how they stumble onto the Aavegotchi rabbit hole and what they are building with GMI.
Background
Anthony Shepherd
Worked on animated short films with Zim+Teemo, his production company with Gurleen Rai
Is a musician
Got into crypto because he saw the opportunity with NFTs for independent artists
“I saw crypto as a way of taking out the middleman. That's like really the thesis behind a lot of it, with music distribution, with finances, like cut out the middleman, let the artists do a lot more on their own.”
- Anthony Shepherd
Cale Moody

Have Rarity Farming — A leaderboard contest based on the rarity of your Aavegotchi
Petting your Aavegotchi twice a day increases its kinship
Taking part in DAO activities like voting increases your Aavegotchi’s XP
The Gotchiverse is set up like a farming game
The Gotchiverse will be having an art release/FAKE Gotchi

The GMI and other partner guilds are separate from AavegotchiDAO and the task forces
Why Is Aavegotchi Able To Inspire The Community In Such A Way?
NoFuturistic
It’s Coderdan and Jesse
They have a track record of shipping
“Coderdan, that man is a workaholic. He is getting chased from sitting on a saddle chair too much working on coding. Like that man is a maniac. You need those kinds of people to run the project, that kind of passion, because it filters down to people like me.”
- NoFuturistic
Cale
They provide the culture and the hype, and back it with the tech

Stories From The Community
Cale
His personal mission is to inspire everybody to produce something
“There's something really, really amazing that happens between the artists and the consumer relationship when you can patronize somebody's work. And you can see that it makes that real significant difference in their heart to go holy crap. Like someone thinks that I'm useful, someone thinks that I'm good, someone thinks that this is worthwhile.”
- Cale Moody
Wandaagotchi did a GMI-inspired Scrabble board art
NoFuturistic
